Different Power Delivery chargers tend to be used for different purposes; at least, that’s mostly true for lower-wattage chargers. Higher wattage Power Delivery chargers, such as those within the 100W+, can charge nearly any USB-C compatible device. Still, if you’re searching for a charger to charge your phone or tablet solely, you can stick to a lower-wattage charger.
This review looks at this VOLTME 30W 2 port USB-C fast charger. Compared to VOLTME’s 140W charger that I’ve reviewed, this one is more meant for phones, tablets, and possibly laptops, but power is way down in this case, which is fine; let’s take a closer look.
Charging Power
There is nothing complicated about the charging power from this VOLTME 30W wall charger. The charger has two USB-C ports, both of which are the same, with each being able to output 30W of Power Delivery when charging a single device at a time. When charging two devices at the same time, then the max output of the charger becomes 15W.
This charger also features PPS super fast charging up to about 33W.
For my testing, I began by charging my Lenovo Flex 5 laptop alone from one of the USB-C ports, and it could only charge at about 5W. This was slowly charging for my laptop because my Lenovo laptop requires a 45W PD port or higher to fast charge from; my recommendation would be to not rely on this charger too heavily for laptop charging.
The main way to have reliable laptop charging from this VOLTME charger would be to charge a Macbook Air, a laptop that can fast charge at 30W.
Then I tested out if I could fast charge my Galaxy Note 9 alone, and I could. I plugged my Excitrus power bank and downgraded the Note 9 fast charging to standard. So you cannot fast charge two phones simultaneously because the max output becomes 15W.
I then tested each of the two USB-C ports to see if they could output 30W using my Excitrus power bank, and yes, the power bank was able to recharge at 30W from each of the ports when charging from them alone.
Then, to test out how much power I could pull from the charger, I charged my Excitrus and Baseus power banks simultaneously and got 15W-16W. So this power bank has a 15W max output when charging two devices.
Also, to test out the PPS super fast charging, I could super fast charge my Galaxy S20 alone. PPS fast charging is not available when charging two devices.

Size and Design
This charger is tiny, with all-around dimensions being 1 inch and the charger being about 2 ounces, so you won’t have trouble being portable with it. The charger also has a foldable plug that makes it even more compact.

Conclusion
This VOLTME 30W 2 port USB-C fast charger is meant for phones and tablets. You can fast charge most phones and tablets if you’re charging a single device simultaneously but know that you’ll lose that fast charging when charging two devices simultaneously. PPS super fast charging is also available when charging a single device. Charging laptops with this VOLTME 30W charger isn’t too reliable, but it can be useful for a Macbook Air.
