Surface Pro X is one of Microsoft’s newest 2-in-1 laptops. The hybrid device is a welcome addition to the portable PC world as it’s quite powerful and capable of doing a lot when it comes to taking care of business with either school or work.

With how much the Surface Pro X is capable, and how portable it is with its thin form factor and lightweight even with the use of a keyboard (which is a must with the Pro X), battery power can wither away quite quickly.

The good news is that the Pro X uses two USB-C ports and you’re able to charge it using the USB-C ports with a Power Delivery charger. Using a Power Delivery power bank with the Pro X is a great way to charge it, as it’s such a useful portable computer and you’re able to charge it up wherever you go.

We’ve selected a few power banks that you can use that can charge the Microsoft device to full power at least once or more.

Aukey 30,000mAh 30W Power Delivery Power Bank

We’re starting with a rather high capacity power bank, this Aukey charger. It holds a 30,000mAh power capacity. The Surface Pro X has a 5,039mAh battery, and so if you can account for power that is lost during charging, you’re able to get about four full charges for your Pro X. However, these many full charges are only able to happen if the Pro X is the only device that you’re charging with this power bank.

You can charge three devices at once with this Aukey portable charger, as it features two USB-A ports, with one using Quick Charge and the third port is the 30W USB-C Power Delivery port.

You’re going to want to use the PD port to charge your Surface Pro X. Also, a power bank with a 30W Power Delivery charging speed or higher should be your target. As we’ve mentioned before in this guide, make sure that you’re purchasing a quality USB-C to USB-C cable to transfer the higher PD charging power.

This Aukey power bank can be recharged faster with a PD wall charger, but it does not come with one.

Anker PowerCore+ 26800 30W Aluminum PD Power Bank

Considering that the Pro X has a 5,039mAh battery, we’re going to be sticking to higher capacity power banks, as they’re able to charge it to full power more times; also because these types of portable chargers feature more Power Delivery charging power.

This Anker PowerCore+ uses a 26,800mAh power capacity that can get the Surface Pro X, to its full power about three to four times.

There are three ports to use, with two USB-A ports that feature a 5V/3.0A (15W) charging speed, and there’s also a 30W USB-C Power Delivery port.

The plus side to getting this Anker power bank is that it comes with a 30W PD wall charger, and you’re able to use this to recharge the PowerCore+ as its max charging speed. You may also use the included wall charger to charge the Surface Pro X directly, too.

The build quality of the PowerCore+ 26800 is different than other power banks, as it’s made of Aluminum.

Jackery SuperCharge 26800 45W Power Delivery Portable Charger

Going back down in power capacity, this Jackery SuperCharge still has a lot of power to use its 26,800mAh power capacity. The charging from it is minimal though, as the power bank only uses two ports, but the Power Delivery charging is powerful.

The USB-C PD port uses a 45W charging speed, higher than the average 30W of charging power that is used with many power banks. The USB-A port has a 12W port, and it does not feature Quick Charge.

The great thing is that the Jackery SuperCharge does come with a 45W PD wall charger that you can use to recharge the power bank at its max recharge speed. You can also use the 45W wall charger to charge your Surface Pro X directly.

In terms of design, the Jackery SuperCharge does things a little differently with its use of a digital power capacity display.

ZMI 20,000mAh 45W PD USB HUB Power Bank

A power bank that is more than just able to charge your portable devices can also be useful, such as this ZMI power bank that can be used as a USB Hub with your Pro X.

First, let’s go over the charging. The power bank has a flat 20,000mAh power capacity, so it’s the lowest capacity power bank that we have in this guide.

The charging power is not lacking though, a USB-C Power Delivery port has an output of 45W, and the two USB-A ports share an 18W charging speed.

So, how do you use the USB hub capabilities of this power bank? Once you connect your Surface Pro X to this ZMI power bank via USB-C to USB-C, you can use the two USB-A ports on the charger with either a flash drive or mouse to connect to your Surface Pro X. RAVPower 60W 20,000mAh Power Delivery Power Bank

We already mentioned the Crave power bank with a 60W Power Delivery charging speed, however, the Crave charger was quite large and heavy.

If you want a 60W Power Delivery charging speed, but with a power bank that’s smaller and is lightweight, we recommend this RAVPower 20,000mAh portable charger. With its lower capacity, the charger is only 5.9 inches in length and has a thickness of 0.9 inches. The weight of this power bank is 13 ounces.

Along with this smaller form factor, you still get a 60W Power Delivery charging speed that is on par with the Crave power bank, and there is also an additional Quick Charge USB-A port. Crave Plus Pro 20,000mAh 45W Power Delivery Power Bank

 

We did already go over Crave’s 50,000mAh power bank, but they also have their Crave Plus Pro power bank. This charger has a 20,000mAh power capacity, and as a result, the power bank has a small size. Most notably, this Plus Pro has a thickness of 0.7 inches, which makes it one of the thinnest 20,000mAh power banks on the market.

To add to that, the Power Delivery charging from the USB-C port is 45W, only 15W lower than its 50,000mAh counterpart. The power bank even has space for two Quick Charge ports, so if you have an Android smartphone, you’re able to fast charge it.

The entirety of this power bank is made of Aluminum, rather than plastic that many power banks on are made of, so it feels a lot more premium.
