Car chargers are very helpful for charging your smartphone and any other USB chargeable device while you’re driving. With that said, it’s vital for you to get a car charger that has a powerful enough charging speed because when you reach your destination you want your device to be charged to a good amount of power. Not only that, car chargers are now able to have lots of charging ports with them so you can charge multiple devices at once at relatively fast charging speeds.

This HUNDA car charger has 6 charging ports, and the most that we’ve reviewed at Charger Harbor has been Anker’s PowerDrive 5 that has 5 charging ports, which we thought was the limit. Let’s see what this 6 port car charger has to offer.

Output Charging:

Max Charging Per Port

Each of the 6 charging ports is capable of outputting 5V/2.4A charging speeds. That’s a Max Standard charging speed which is going to be able to charge most devices at their max charging speed; you’ll be able to charge a device like an iPad at its max charging speeds and most will smartphones will too. With that said, this car charger does not feature Quick Charge tech and so devices that are Quick Charge compatible will not be able to charge at their max charging speeds.

Max Output

The max output of the charger is 10 Amps all at once. This means you can potentially charge 4 iPads at once and all of them will charge at their max charging speeds because the charger will be outputting 9.6 Amps at once.

If you’re using all 6 charging ports and a Max Output of 10 Amps is being used, then each port will be able to Output 5V/1.6A. Even charging 6 devices at once won’t impede the charging speed.

Design

Size and Weight:

There are two sizes to account for. It’s the size of the charging block where the charging ports are and the car charger cable.

Size of Charging Block

The charger block has a length of 4 inches, a width of 2.5 inches and a thickness of 1 inch.

Size of the Charger

The length of the charging car charger part of the cable is 3.7 inches, so it’s going to be sticking out 3.7 inches out of the V12 socket.

The cable portion is 2 feet long and the port end side that goes inside the charging block is 1.6 inches.

Functional Components:

The charging cable part goes into the back of the charging block and you simply place the car charger head into your V12 socket. The car charger block is basically like a wall charger, with all of the charging ports on a single side in a horizontal way.

With that said, the cable portion is quite short at just 2 feet and it’s also very thick which makes it difficult to move around. So you’re going to have to depend on the charging cable that you use with your device to provide more freedom when it comes to the car charging.

There’s a Lighting symbol that turns on blue when the car charger is plugged in.

Build

Structure and Material:

The entirety of the car charger parts is made of plastic but it still holds up well enough.

Tech:

When it comes to car chargers having a lot of ports, safety is a very real concern because there are possibilities of overheating.

With that said, this HUNDA car charger uses multiple safety protection systems that are able to control the temperature through having control of the Amp current being sent out. As a result, charging can be slowed down if things get too heated.

Reliability

If you think that charging 6 devices at once in a car is something that you’re going to need, then this HUNDA car charger is exactly what you’re going to need. It’s perfect for those family and friend road trips because you can charge anywhere from 1 to 6 devices at once, not only is a number of devices that you can charge at once amazing; it’s also the speed of 2.4A per port and 10 Amps at once that’s also amazing.

Summary:

Power:

Each of the 6 charging ports is able to output 2.4A and the max output of 10 Amps at once means you can even charge 6 devices at once at relatively fast charging speeds.

Design:

It has a pretty good design with the charging block basically being a wall charger, but one of the main flaws is just how short the charging cable is and how thick it is.

Build:

The tech build does a good job to make sure that nothing gets overheated and starts a fire.

Reliability:

If you didn’t think 5 charging ports was enough, then this 6 charging port car charger can be quite helpful with its unwavering power and pretty good design.

That can change depending on how many charging ports a car charger will have and the main thing to remember that charging electronics are very versatile. This isn’t a flaw, though, it’s an innovation.
