UGREEN Nexode 100W MagSafe USB-C Charger
Pros
- 100W of Power Delivery available from either USB-C ports when charging one device at a time.
- Charging four devices at the same time results still lets you use 45W of Power Delivery from a USB-C port.
- Faetures a MagSafe charging pad that can lay flat or you can stand it up.
Cons
- Does not come with a USB-C to USB-C cable
Packaging and Contents: The UGREEN Nexode 100W charger arrives with the basics: an AC power cord and a user manual. Notably, it lacks a USB-C to USB-C cable, which could be a minor inconvenience for those who don’t have spare cables.
Design: UGREEN takes a distinctive approach to design with this charger. The highlight is its MagSafe charging stand, which is versatile enough to be pulled out or left flat. Although I couldn’t test the MagSafe feature with an iPhone, my Samsung Galaxy Note 9, equipped with a magnetic attachment, worked seamlessly. The charger’s layout is user-friendly, featuring two 100W USB-C ports and a single USB-A port on the front, with the power input located at the back. This design choice makes it easy to access and use the ports.

Charging Performance: The Nexode shines in its adaptive charging capabilities. The power output from the USB-C and USB-A ports varies depending on the number of devices connected, ensuring optimal charging for each scenario. Single port charging allows each USB-C port to deliver a full 100W, while the USB-A port offers 22.5W. The MagSafe pad consistently provides 15W, regardless of the number of devices charging.
In multi-device scenarios, the charger intelligently distributes power. For example, with two devices, the USB-C ports split the power between 65W and 30W. This split changes to 45W and 30W when charging three devices and 45W and 25W for four devices. This flexibility is particularly useful for those who need to charge multiple gadgets simultaneously.
My tests corroborated these specifications. Charging my Excitrus power bank alone on either USB-C port achieved the maximum 100W. As expected, a second device (Baseus power bank) adjusted the output to 65W and 30W.
Incorporating a third device (LG G7 on the USB-A port) and a fourth (Galaxy Note 9 on the wireless pad) maintained efficient charging rates for all devices, showcasing the charger’s capability to manage multiple devices without significant power loss. That said, charging three or four devices simultaneously lowers the Excitrus power bank charging rate from 65W to 45W of Power Delivery.
Also, when charging four devices simultaneously, I plugged in my Lenovo laptop and could charge the laptop near its maximum charging speed.
Conclusion: The UGREEN Nexode 100W MagSafe charger is a robust and versatile charging solution. Its unique MagSafe feature and adaptive power distribution across multiple ports make it an excellent choice for those needing a multi-device charger. While the absence of a USB-C to USB-C cable is a minor downside, the overall performance and design of the charger more than compensate for this small shortfall.
