Best Power Banks for ASUS ROG Ally in 2024

(Last Updated On: January 8, 2024)

The ASUS ROG Ally is a welcome upgrade to the portable gaming console market, with the Steam Deck hitting a home run when it was released, making it convenient and realistic to play triple-A games wherever you are. Well, some time has passed, and thankfully, competition in this market is heating up with brands releasing their improved consoles.

The ASUS ROG Ally is more powerful and has a host of other specs that top the Steam Deck. Of course, with any portable gaming console, you must worry about battery life as these devices use much power to run. The ASUS ROG Ally does come with a 65W charger in the box, but since this is a portable console, I’ve got a few power banks that I recommend in this guide.

Baseus 65W PD 20,000mAh Power Bank

The first power bank I want to recommend for the ASUS ROG Ally is this Baseus power bank. I’ve recommended this power bank many times in other buying guides, and for a good reason: it has a high charging speed and capacity. This Baseus power bank has a 20,000mAh (74Wh) capacity that can charge the ASUS ROG Ally to full power at least once. That said, charging a gaming console like this is more meant for extending gaming time, and you can double your gaming time with this Baseus power bank.

The charging ports on this Baseus power bank include a USB-C port and two USB-A ports. If you’re charging from the USB-C Power Delivery port alone, you can use the total 65W to charge your ASUS ROG Ally at max speed. However, when charging from the USB-C port and one of the USB-A ports, the USB-C port drops to a 45W charge rate.

Then, if you’re charging from all three ports simultaneously, the USB-C port has a 20W output, and the two USB-A ports have a 5W output. So, if you want to fast charge your ASUS ROG Ally, I recommend charging it alone via the USB-C port or with another device. Recharging is also fast, with the UBS-C port having a 60W recharge rate, so I highly recommend using a 60W PD wall charger or higher. INIU 65W PD 25,000mAh Power Bank

This INIU 65W power bank is similar to the Baseus power bank because it also has a 65W USB-C PD port. Additionally, this one has a 30W USB-C PD port and a USB-A 22.5W Quick Charge port. Of course, you’d want to use the 65W USB-C port to charge your ASUS ROG Ally for faster charging.

The 25,000mAh (92.5Wh) is even higher than the previous Baseus power bank I mentioned, so you can use this INIU power bank for a while without recharging it. Also included in the box is a USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cable. Baseus Blade 100W PD Power Bank

The Baseus Blade power bank is another Basesu charger I recommend simply because it’s so powerful. The Baseus Blade has a 100W Power Delivery charge rate from either of its two USB-C ports, and that can fast charge your ASUS ROG Ally. There are also two USB-A Quick Charge ports on this power bank.

Design-wise, this Baseus Blade is precisely what it sounds like because it has a thin form factor, and although the power bank likely won’t fit into your pocket, it’s easy to hold and can easily fit into a purse. Also, the screen at the top shows the voltage and amperage output; this is pretty interesting, although it would have been better to have the wattage shown. UGREEN 145W 25,000mAh Power Bank

One of the most powerful power banks I have reviewed is this UGREEN 145W power bank; very few power banks on the market can output high Power Delivery output from two ports simultaneously. With this UGREEN power bank, you can use 100W of Power Delivery from the UBS-C 1 port and 45W from C-2 simultaneously; this lets you charge your ASUS ROG Ally while charging your laptop from the C-2 port. The 25,000mAh battery capacity is enough to charge the ROG Ally to full power and keep you gaming for a long time. This power bank does come with a USB-C to USB-C cable. Powdeom 150W Mini Power Station

Recommending a mini power station such as this Powdeom mini power station may seem too much, but this one is low cost and ultimately gets the job done. The Powdeom power station has a 155Wh capacity, enough to charge the ASUS ROG Ally to full power at least once and even more.

The mini power station has a 65W USB-C PD port that can fast charge your ROG Ally; there is also a 150W AC outlet on the unit that you can use to plug in your original that came with your ASUS ROG Ally. This way, you can always get optimal charging for your gaming console from this power station.
