Best Chargers for Lenovo Legion 9i in 2024

(Last Updated On: January 4, 2024)

Gaming laptops like the Lenovo Legion 9i, with their advanced features such as liquid cooling, cater to a growing market of gamers. While impressive, these laptops, including the Legion 9i, often experience significant battery drain during gaming. The Legion 9i has a 300W proprietary charger, which is essential for optimal gaming charging. Alternatively, it offers USB-C charging, though this method is slower. I’ve identified several compatible chargers for those needing to charge the Legion 9i and other devices simultaneously or seeking a more portable charging solution.

Baseus 140W 3 Port Charger

The Baseus 140W charger is one of the most reliable 140W chargers because it allocates more charging power to the USB-C 1 port than similar ones. If you charge one device at a time, 140W of Power Delivery can be used from USB-C 1 or 100W from USB-C 2. The most important part of this Baseus charger is that you can still use 100W of Power Delivery from USB-C 1 even when charging three devices; this makes it possible to charge a tablet or phone while the Lenovo Legion 9i is charged from the USB-C 1 port.

100W of Power Delivery is what you should be looking for when using the USB-C port to charge the Legion 9i. In reviewing the Baseus 140W charger, I could charge my laptop and a power bank and fast charge my phone simultaneously. The Baseus charger does come with a USB-C to USB-C cable. Watch my video review of the Baseus 140W 3 Port Charger for more insights.

VOLTME 140W 3 Port Charger

Another option for a 140W charger is this VOLTME charger. This one resembles the Baseus charger because it has two USB-C ports and a single USB-A port. Once again, you can use 140W from USB-C 1 or 100W from USB-C 2 if you charge one device. What makes this VOLTME 140W charger different is that if you’re charging from the two USB-C posts simultaneously, each USB-C port will output 65W then, if you’re charging three devices, the USB-C 1 port will output 65W, and the USB-C 2 port will output 45W.

So, the power allocation for the VOLTME 140W charger is more spread out, but know that charging multiple devices will get a lower charging speed than the Basues 140W charger. Also, in my review of the VOLTME 140W charger, I found that a USB-C to USB-C cable was not included in the box. Check out my video review to explore the VOLTME 140W 3 Port Charger’s capabilities in detail.

KOVOL 140W 2 Port Charger

If you’re looking for a more minimal type of 140W charger, this KOVOL 140W charger fits perfectly into charging the Lenovo Legion 9i because you can always get a decent charging speed from the USB-C port. The KOVOL charger has a single USB-C port and a USB-A port; a total of 140W of Power Delivery can be used if you’re charging one device, then if you’re charging two devices, the power split is 120W and 18W.

In my review of the KOVOL charger, I could charge my Lenovo laptop and fast charge my Note 9; I could even super fast charge my Galaxy S20 and fast charge my Note 9 simultaneously. However, a USB-C cable does not come with the charger.

UGREEN Nexode 300W Charging Station

The UGREEN Nexode 300W charging station is a good option for charging the Lenovo Legion 9i while you charge many other devices. You can potentially charge two other laptops while charging your Legion 9i because the UGREEN charger has a 300W max output shared with all the ports. There are four USB-C ports and a single USB-A port on the charger, and even if you’re charging five devices simultaneously, the USB-C 1 port can still output 140W of Power Delivery. So, if you’re looking to charge your Legion 9i and many other devices with one charger, the UGREEN Nexode 300W charger is one of the few that can do that.

In reviewing the UGREEN Nexode 300W charger, I could charge four power banks near their max speed and still fast charge my Note 9 from the USB-A port. This charger does come with a USB-C to USB-C cable. Discover the features of the UGREEN Nexode 300W Charging Station in my detailed video review.

Oraimo 120W Charging Station with AC Outlets

If you want to charge The Legion 9i via a USB-C port or use the original charger that came with the laptop, this Oraimo 120W charging station can do both. The Oraimo charger has three USB-C ports and a single USB-A port; you can use 100W of Power Delivery from any USB-C port if you charge just one device. You also have the option to use the original charger that came with your Legion 9i because the Oraimo charger has two AC outlets that have a combined output of 1250W.

In my review of the Oraimo 120W charging station, I could easily power a heater and charge from all the ports simultaneously. The charger does come with a USB-C to USB-C cable. Watch my video review to learn more about the Oraimo 120W Charging Station with AC Outlets.

UGREEN 145W Power Bank

Few power banks can do what this UGREEN power bank can do. The UGREEN charger has two USB-C ports and a single USB-A port; the USB-C 1 port on the power bank will always output 100W of Power Delivery no matter how many devices you’re charging and if you’re charging from the two USB-C ports, the USB-C 2 port will output 45W. So you can charge your Lenovo Legion 9i while charging another laptop from the USB-C 2 port. This power bank is a decent way to charge the Legion 9i in a portable manner; of course, the charging power is nowhere near the original charger, but it does an alright job for USB-C charging on a gaming laptop.

In my review of the UGREEN 145W power bank, I found that the charger could perform pass-through charging, so you can charge from the USB-C 1 port and recharge via the USB-C 2 port. View my video review for a comprehensive UGREEN 145W Power Bank analysis.

Baseus Blade 100W Power Bank

A popular power bank on the market is the Baseus Blade 100W power bank. The Baseus charger features two USB-C ports and two USB-A ports. You can fully use the 100W of Power Delivery if you’re charging a single device from one of the USB-C ports on the power bank. In my review of the Baseus Blade power bank, I could view the charging speed of the device I was charging because the screen at the top showed the voltage and amperage. Final thoughts about my choice of Chargers for Lenovo Legion 9i

The Lenovo Legio 9i is a powerful gaming laptop that features accessible charging. However, like most gaming laptops, this one has a special 300W charger to provide optimal gaming power. If you want a charger that can charge other devices or a portable charger, you can choose the Baseus 140W charger or the UGREEN 145W power bank. That said, USB-C charging may still result in the Legion 9i discharging its battery during gaming simply because it cannot provide anywhere near the original charger’s 300W.
