Best Chargers for Alienware X14 in 2024

(Last Updated On: January 3, 2024)

The Alienware X14, a high-spec gaming laptop, typically features NVIDIA RTX 3000 or 4000 series cards, emphasizing its substantial power usage. Due to this, the battery drains quickly, especially during gaming. It supports USB-C Power Delivery charging, offering a convenient alternative if the original charger is lost or damaged or if you need a more portable option to charge other devices. It should have at least a 60W output when choosing a third-party charger, though I recommend those with 100W or more for better efficiency. However, even these may not match the original charger’s performance during intense gaming sessions.

Baseus 140W 3 Port Charger

You may notice that I’m recommending many chargers with similar charging power, and this is simply because you want a powerful charger for the Alienware X14 to keep up with gaming demands. This Baseus 140W charger is slightly different from most other 140W chargers with three ports because it allocates more charging power to the USB-C 1 port when charging multiple devices.

You can use 140W of Power Delivery from USB-C 1 when charging one device or 100W from USB-C 2. The most impressive part about the Baseus charger is that you can charge three devices simultaneously from the two USB-C ports and a single USB-A port, and the USB-C 1 port will still output 100W of Power Delivery. This makes it possible to charge the Alienware X14 via USB-C 1 while also having the option of fast charging a tablet or phone from the USB-C 2 and USB-A ports. In my review of the Baseus 140W charger, I could charge my Lenovo laptop at max speed while fast charging two phones; I also found a USB-C to USB-C cable in the box during my review.

UGREEN Nexode 140W 3 Port Charger

UGREEN is another solid brand you may consider for purchasing a 140W charger. This 140W charger from UGREEN has similar specs to the Baseus charger but can be better for charging other powerful devices with your Alienware X14. The USB-C 1 port can output 140W, and the USB-C 2 port can output 100W of Power Delivery if you charge one device from the charger.

The better part about the UGREEN 140W charger is that USB-C 1 and 2 can output 65W of Power Delivery each if you’re charging from both of them at the same time; this makes it possible to charge your Alienware X14 while charging another laptop with this UGREEN charger. That said, Alienware X14 will charge slower and drain the battery faster with this lower charging speed, so if you want optimal charging, I recommend charging it alone. Also, if you’re charging three devices, USB-C 1 can output 65W, which is pretty good but not as good as 100W of power delivery when you’re doing single-port charging.

In my review of the UGREEN 140W Nexode charger, I could fast charge my laptop and fast charge two phones; the most surprising part is that I could super fast charge my Galaxy S20 via the USB-C 2 port while charging my laptop and phone. Check out my UGREEN Nexode 140W 3-Port Charger video review to learn about its specifications and capabilities.

KOVOL 140W 2 Port Charger

The KOVOL 140W charger is more minimal with its port selection because it has a USB-A and USB-C port. However, you always get more power allocated to the USB-C port on the charger. 140W of power delivery can be used if you’re charging from the USB-C port alone, while 120W is outputted via the USB-C port, and 18W is from the USB-A port when charging two devices. In my review of the KOVOL 140W charger, I could fast charge my laptop and phone simultaneously, which can be done for the Alienware X14.

UGREEN Nexode 300W Charging Station

The UGREEN Nexode 300W charging station is an excellent choice for the Alienware X14 if you want to charge the gaming laptop and many other devices simultaneously without any power compromises. This UGREEN charger has a 300W max output, four USB-C ports, and a single USB-A port. So you can’t get 300W of charging power from just a single port; the 300W of power is shared across all the ports. This makes it possible to use 140W of Power Delivery via the USB-C 1 when charging five devices simultaneously from this UGREEN charger. So you can technically charge your Alienware X14 at a fast speed while charging four other devices; there aren’t too many other chargers.

In reviewing the UGREEN Nexode 300W charging station, I could charge four power banks nearly at their max speed and fast charge my Note 9. This charger does come with a USB-C to USB-C cable. UGREEN 145W Power Bank

If you’re looking for portable power for charging your Alienware X14, the UGREEN 145W power bank is one of the most high-powered power banks you can own. This charger has a 25,000mAh battery and a high capacity; most importantly, this UGREEN power bank has two USB-C ports and a single USB-A port. You can use 100W of Power Delivery via the USB-C 1 port. The more impressive part of this power bank is that you can use 100W via USB-C 1 and 45W from USB-C 2 simultaneously.

In my review of the UGREEN 145W power bank, I could recharge it faster via the USB-C 1 port because it has a 65W recharge speed via USB-C 1, while USB-C 2 only has a 45W recharge speed. Watch my detailed video review of the UGREEN 145W Power Bank, highlighting its high-capacity charging features.

Powdeom 150W Power Station

The Powdeom 150W power station is a decent option for charging the Alienware X14 using the original charger. That’s because this Powdeom power station has a 150AW AC outlet that can be used to power the original 130W charger that comes with the Alienware X14. You also have the option to use the 65W USB-C port on the power station, which will charge the Alienware X14 slower.

In my review of the Powdeom 150W power station, I could charge my Lenovo laptop using either the AC outlet or the USB-C port. For a closer look at the Powdeom 150W Power Station’s functionality, see my video review.

EcoFlow River 2 Power Station

The EcoFlow River 2 power station is a higher capacity and power output option. It is more reliable as a portable power source, or you can use it at a stationary UPS. This River 2 power station has two AC outlets with a combined output 300W and a 256Wh battery. You can use the original charger for the Alienware X14 with the River 2 power station, and the big benefit of using River 2 is that it can act as a UPS. By plugging in the AC cable into the power station and having your original charger plugged into the River 2 to charge your Alienware X14, if the power goes out, Alienware X14 will automatically start being charged directly from the power station.

In my review of the EcoFlow River 2 power station, I could use the app to have remote control of the power station over some features. View my EcoFlow River 2 Power Station video review to understand its unique features and versatile charging options.

Final thoughts about my choice of Chargers for the Alienware X14

Gaming laptops are excellent, with many featuring powerful specs. However, the problem of battery drain largely stays the same. The good news is that the Alienware X14 has accessible charging because it can be charged via the USB-C port, and you can use lower-powered chargers. However, I recommend using higher-wattage chargers to ensure they can keep up with the X14’s gaming demands. USB-C charging allows you to go with something like the Baseus 140W charger or UGREEN 300W charging station.
