Best chargers for Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 (2023) in 2024

(Last Updated On: December 4, 2023)

The Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 is a reliable and efficient laptop for hobbyists and professional creative workers. If you need to work with photo or video editing, the IdeaPad Pro 5 is a good choice. Also, this laptop can be great for gaming; even though you likely won’t be running at max settings, it can still get the job done. That said, for any high-end laptop, the IdeaPad Pro 5 can run out of battery power rather quickly, but the good news is that charging is accessible for the laptop because it is charged via USB-C.

A 100W charger for charging your IdeaPad Pro 5 may be the best option to keep it up while using the laptop, but a 140W charger is the optimal way to charge it. You could use a 65W charger in a pinch, but a 65W charge rate can be too slow, and your laptop may discharge more power than it recharges. In this guide, I’m reviewing chargers that would charge your Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 (2023).

UGREEN Nexode 140W 3 Port Charger

The UGREEN Nexode 140W charger is reliable for the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 (2023). You can use the total 140W of Power Delivery if you charge from the USB-C 1 port alone. The USB-C 2 port on his UGREEN charger can output 100W if you’re charging just one device, and the USB-A port can output 22.5W no matter how many devices you have charging.

So the IdeaPad Pro 5 (2023) can charge at max speed when you charge it via USB-C 1 alone; however, you can also charge via the USB-C 1 and the USB-A port at the same time, which will cause the C-1 port to drop down to 100W. 100W of Power Delivery is still enough power to charge the Lenovo laptop, but it is not optimal. The 22.5W charge rate via the USB-A port can fast charge most Android phones.

Also, if you charge from the two USB-C ports simultaneously, each USB-C port will output 65W of Power Delivery. 65W may not be enough to charge the IdeaPad Pro 5 while you’re using it, but it can prove helpful while not using the laptop. The C-1 port will also output 65W if you charge three devices simultaneously. This UGREEN 140W charger does come with a USB-C to USB-C cable. Read my review article or watch my video review of the UGREEN Nexode 140W 3 Port Charger for more insights and details on its performance.

Baseus 140W 3 Port Charger

The Baseus 140W charger may be more helpful for the IdeaPad Pro 5 (2023) because it has a higher power allocation to the USB-C 1 port when charging multiple devices simultaneously. Single-port charging for this Baseus 140W charger is slightly different; you can get 140W via USB-C 1 and 100W via USB-C 2 when charging from these ports alone, but the USB-A port can output 60W when charging one device. Of course, the USB-A port will have to be charging a device that accepts a certain charging protocol, but it’s still impressive when you consider that most USB-A ports output 18W or 22.5W.

You can charge your IdeaPad Pro 5 (2023) from the C-1 port alone and get 140W. What’s also great is that you can 100W of Power Delivery via USB-C 1 when charging three devices simultaneously, while the C-2 port outputs 20W and the USB-A port outputs 18W. 100W is a fast charging speed for the IdeaPad Pro 5, but you can only charge tablets and phones from the C-2 and USB-A ports when charging three devices.

Most 140W chargers output 65W from their C-1 port for triple charging devices; this Baseus charger has allocated more power to C-1. This charger comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable in the box. KOVOL 140W 2 Port Charger

A more minimal type of charger is this KOVOL 140W charger, which has a 140W max output but a single USB-C and USB-A ports. You can use the 140W of Power Delivery if you’re charging one device via the USB-C port, which is best for charging your IdeaPad Pro 5 (2023)—however, dual charging results in the USB-C port outputting 120W, and the USB-A port outputs 18W. So even when charging dual charging, you can still charge your IdeaPad Pro 5 fast. This charger does not come with a USB-C to USB-C cable, though. Discover more about the KOVOL 140W 2 Port Charger in my detailed review article.

UGREEN 300W 5 Port Charging Station

A more all-out type of charger for charging your IdeaPad Pro 5 is this UGREEN Nexode 300W 5 port charger. This UGREEN charger has a 300W max output, four USB-C ports, and a single USB-A port. You can definitely charge your Lenovo laptop from it, but what is most impressive about this UGREEN charger is that you can charge your IdeaPad Pro 5 while charging another four devices simultaneously. It’s possible to charge another two laptops while you also charge your IdeaPad Pro 5 from this UGREEN charger.

I recommend charging from the USB-C 1 port at all times, though, for the fastest charge rate. This charger does come with a USB-C to USB-C cable in the box. Explore my comprehensive review article or watch my video review of the UGREEN 300W 5 Port Charging Station for additional information.

UGREEN 145W 25,000mAh Power Bank

Charging your IdeaPad Pro 5 (2023) while you’re going about your day and not near an AC outlet is possible with a powerful enough power bank. This UGREEN 145W power bank has a 145W max output, two USB-C ports, and a single USB-A port. The C-1 port on this power bank can output 100W at all times, and this is the port you’d use to charge your IdeaPad Pro 5, while the C-2 port’s max output is 45W, and the USB-A port can output 18W.

You can use the total 100W from C-1 and the 45W C-2 simultaneously from this UGREEN power bank; this makes it possible to charge your IdeaPad Pro 5 and another laptop via the C-2 port. Charging three devices simultaneously has the power bank continuing to output 100W via C-1, but the C-2 and USB-A ports will only share a 15W output.

To recharge this UGREEN power bank the fastest, you should use a 60W PD wall charger. The 25,000mAh battery capacity of this power bank is enough to charge the IdeaPad Pro 5 to full power at least once. Learn more about the UGREEN 145W 25,000mAh Power Bank in my comprehensive review article or through my video review.

Baseus Blade 100W PD Power Bank

Another power bank works excellently for the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 (2023) is this Baseus Blade 100W power bank. So, the Baseus Blade power bank has a 100W Power Delivery output, two USB-C ports, and two USB-A ports. You can use 100W of Power Delivery when charging one device at a time from one of the USB-C ports. So, if you want to charge your IdeaPad from this power bank, you must do it alone.

Also, this Baseus power bank has a 65W recharging speed, so you should use a 65W PD charger to get the fastest recharge rate. The 20,000mAh battery capacity may be lower than the UGREEN power bank I recommended earlier, but it’s still enough to charge the IdeaPad Pro to full power at least once. The design of the Baseus Blade is a little different than most other power banks because it shows the charging speed with the screen at the tip that shows the voltage and amperage.

EcoFlow River 2 300W Power Station

If you want to use the original charger with your IdeaPad Pro 5 (2023), consider owning a mini power station like the EcoFlow River 2. These power stations are on the lower cost side, but they have enough power to power the original charger that comes with the Lenovo laptop. This River 2 power station has two AC outlets and a 300W max output. It can power the original charger, and you can simultaneously power another appliance from it.

A mini power station is a great way to be portable and use the original charger if you don’t want to use a third-party charger but also want a reliable power source in case you’re on a road trip or are camping. Find out more about the EcoFlow River 2 300W Power Station in my detailed review article or video review.

Baseus 160W Car Charger

Charging your IdeaPad Pro 5 is also possible while driving; this Baseus 160W car charger can charge the laptop because of its 100W Power Delivery output via USB-C 1. C-2 and the USB-A port can output 30W; this lets you charge additional devices while you charge your IdeaPad. The Baseus 160W car charger does come with a USB-C to USB-C cable. Check out my review article or video review for more insights on the Baseus 160W Car Charger.
