Best Chargers for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 in 2024

(Last Updated On: December 5, 2023)

It was incredible when the first Galaxy Z Fold came out, considering that a large and trusted brand such as Samsung was releasing a Foldable phone. At the time, most people thought foldable phones were a gimmick or fad that would disappear quickly. Well, here we are with the Samsung Galaxy Fold 5, and the phone is exactly what you would expect: a better version over previous versions of the Fold.

Of course, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has better specs and the same folding concept from its previous iterations; however, like other brands, Samsung has followed suit and decided not to include a charger in the box. That is why I’ve chosen a couple of chargers that you can use to fast charge the Z Fold 5, as the phone is an absolute powerhouse, and using a standard charge rate isn’t enough.

VOLTME 35W 2 Port Charger

Most of the chargers I’m recommending in this guide are mainly meant for super fast charging your Galaxy Z Fold 5, so they don’t feature many ports. This VOLTME 35W charger has a 35W max output when charging one device at a time, and you can charge your Z Fold 5 at a 25W super fast charge rate when charging it alone. When you’re charging two devices at the same time, this charger has a max output of 36W, and this makes each of the USB-C ports output 18W; so if you’re charging two devices at the same time, then you can at least fast charge your Z Fold, but not at max speed. Read my VOLTME 35W 2 Port Charger review article for more insights and details.

UGREEN Nexode 45W 2 Port Charger

This UGREEN Nexode 45W charger is a more powerful version of the previous VOLTME charger I recommended. So when charging one device at a time, you can use the total 45W output of the charger; you can also use up to 45W PPS super fast charging. However, your Galaxy Z Fold will charge at 25W in this case, and if you choose to move to another Samsung phone that can accept a 45W PPS charge rate, this UGREEN charger can be useful then, too.

For dual charging, this UGREEN charger has a 25W and 20W power split; that said, this is only a regular Power Delivery output and not PPS super fast charging, as that is lost when you charge multiple devices simultaneously. AOHI MagCube 40W 2 Port Charger

This AOHI MagCube 40W charger works the same way as the first two chargers I mentioned; this charger can output a total of 40W of charging power when charging one device; this also makes it possible to super fast charge your Galaxy Z Fold 5 when charging it alone. When you’re charging two devices simultaneously, the charger has a 20W split of power from each of the ports, which at least lets you fast charge your Z Fold 5. Design-wise, this charger is interesting because it has charging ports at the bottom, and it has a power light that changes color depending on the charging status.

GravaStar 65W 3 Port Charger

This Gravastar 65W charger looks very different than others because it looks like a robot. The charger has a 65W max output, and you can use the full 65W if you’re charging one device at a time from the charger. In my testing for this charger, I found that I could use 25W PPS even when charging three devices simultaneously; this means that you can super fast charge your Fold 5 no matter how many devices you charge. That said, make sure that you charge your Galaxy Fold from the USB-C 1 port.

Baseus 140W 3 Port Charger

This Baseus 140W charger may seem like too much of what you’re looking for, but if you get it, it’s the only one you will need for a while. The charger has a 140W max output and features two USB-C ports and a single USB-A port. What is most impressive about this charger is that you can still super fast charge your Galaxy Fold from either USB-C 1 or 2 when charging two devices from the USB-C ports. The C-1 port can output 45W of PPS, while the USB-C 2 port can output 25W of PPS; most chargers generally don’t have this type of power allocation.

ROMOSS PEA30 30,000mAh Power Bank

If you’re searching for a power bank to charge your Galaxy Z Fold 5, this ROMOSS PEA30 power bank is a good choice because it has a 30,000mAh battery capacity to charge the phone to full power about three times or more. Charging power is not lacking either, with the power bank having a 30W Power Delivery USB-C port that can at least fast charge your Fold 5, but the power bank does not feature PPS super fast charging. Read my review article or watch the video review for an in-depth look at the ROMOSS PEA30 30,000mAh Power Bank.

iWalk LinkPod Y2 Built-in USB-C Cable Power Bank

If you’re searching for a more portable-friendly power bank for charging your Galaxy Fold, there’s this iWalk LinkPod Y2 power bank. The charger has a 9,600mAh battery capacity that can at least charge the Galaxy Z Fold 5 to full power. You don’t even need a cable to use this power bank because it has a built-in USB-C cable that you can use to charge Galaxy Fold, and the built-in cable can be used to recharge the power bank by simply plugging the cable into a USB-C port on a wall charger. However, a USB-C port on the power bank can also recharge it.

Baseus 160W Car Charger

This Baseus car charger has a surprising 160W max output, and the car charger features two USB-C ports and a single USB-A port. You can super fast charge your Galaxy Fold 5 from the USB-C 1 port. At the same time, you drive, and even though charging multiple devices simultaneously will lower the PPS charge rate, you still can fast charge another two devices simultaneously. This car charger comes with a USB-C to USB-C charging cable. Find out more about the Baseus 160W Car Charger in my detailed review article or video review.
