Best Chargers for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 in 2023

(Last Updated On: August 4, 2023)

It was incredible when the first Galaxy Z Fold came out, considering that a large and trusted brand such as Samsung was releasing a Foldable phone. At the time, most people thought foldable phones were a gimmick or fad that would disappear quickly. Well, here we are with the Samsung Galaxy Fold 5, and the phone is exactly what you would expect, a better version over previous versions of the Fold.

Of course, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has better specs and the same folding concept from its previous iterations; however, like other brands, Samsung has followed suit and decided not to include a charger in the box. That is why I’ve chosen a couple of chargers that you can use to fast charge the Z Fold 5, as the phone is an absolute powerhouse, and using a standard charge rate isn’t enough.

VOLTME 35W 2 Port Charger

Most of the chargers I’m recommending in this guide are mainly meant for super fast charging your Galaxy Z Fold 5, so they don’t feature many ports. This VOLTME 35W charger has a 35W max output when charging one device at a time, and you can charge your Z Fold 5 at a 25W super fast charge rate when charging it alone. When you’re charging two devices at the same time, this charger has a max output of 36W, and this makes each of the USB-C ports output 18W; so if you’re charging two devices at the same time, then you can at least fast charge your Z Fold, but not at max speed.

UGREEN Nexode 45W 2 Port Charger

This UGREEN Nexode 45W charger is a more powerful version of the previous VOLTME charger I recommended. So when charging one device at a time, you can use the total 45W output of the charger; you can also use up to 45W PPS super fast charging. However, your Galaxy Z Fold will charge at 25W in this case, and if you choose to move to another Samsung phone that can accept a 45W PPS charge rate, this UGREEN charger can be useful then, too.

For dual charging, this UGREEN charger has a 25W and 20W power split; that said, this is only a regular Power Delivery output and not PPS super fast charging, as that is lost when you charge multiple devices simultaneously.

AOHI MagCube 40W 2 Port Charger

This AOHI MagCube 40W charger works the same way as the first two chargers I mentioned; this charger can output the total 40W of charging power when charging one device; this also makes it possible to super fast charge your Galaxy Z Fold 5 when charging it alone. When you’re charging two devices simultaneously, the charger has a 20W split of power from each of the ports, which at least lets you fast charge your Z Fold 5. Design-wise, this charger is interesting because it has charging ports at the bottom, and it has a power light that changes color depending on the charging status.

GravaStar 65W 3 Port Charger

This Gravastar 65W charger looks very different than others because it looks like a robot. The charger has a 65W max output, and you can use the full 65W if you’re charging one device at a time from the charger. In my testing for this charger, I found that I could use 25W PPS even when charging three devices simultaneously; this means that you can super fast charge your Fold 5 no matter how many devices you charge. That said, make sure that you charge your Galaxy Fold from the USB-C 1 port.

The charger has a 140W max output and features two USB-C ports and a single USB-A port. What is most impressive about this charger is that you can still super fast charge your Galaxy Fold from either USB-C 1 or 2 when charging two devices from the USB-C ports. The C-1 port can output 45W of PPS, while the USB-C 2 port can output 25W of PPS; most chargers generally don’t have this type of power allocation.
